In 2018, Ireland.com was visited by over 20+ million potential visitors to the island of Ireland. To help convert this huge group from potential to actual visitors to the island of Ireland, Tourism Ireland needs your experiential offers. Market research shows that offers which combine a sense of place and include unique experiences have a much better clickthrough conversion rate.
Your experiential offers may also be used in a range of worldwide campaigns designed to encourage visitor to take city, rural and coastal breaks across the island of Ireland. In addition, we will translate your offers free of charge to appear on our European market sites. Please see the experiential offers guidelines here.
By sharing your offers with us, your product can appear across Ireland.com, potentially including the homepage. Offers are also promoted via the navigation panel across the site and the offers are also prominently positioned on all destination and product pages. There are up to four rotating offers on the homepage as well as a click through to a full range of other offers. Offers that perform best are those that most appeal to our key target segments in the markets.
Our European colleagues report that alliteration doesn’t translate well and they favour offers that have literal titles and clear descriptions e.g. two nights B&B & bike hire in Dingle on the WAW for €150.
